About the event
The Circular Economy is still nascent in India and conversation tends to centre around waste management. Through this event, Infinitive aims to further the understanding of CE in India, and the opportunities and challenges it presents. The three key sessions include:
- Expert Talks: to enable a deeper exploration of CE (beyond waste management) highlighting different CE initiatives and models along the entire value chain
- Open Forum Discussion: to explore reverse logistics and product take-back mechanisms for a Circular Economy (particularly relevant to Extended Producer Responsibilty) - led by sharing of a pilot initiative by Interface and studies by EU-REI (European Union- Resource Efficiency Initiative), GIZ.
- Mapping CE Initiatives and Challenges: across different aspects of the CE framework, sectors and stakeholders to get a better understanding of CE adoption in India. The CE initiatives mapped will be fed back into the global database hosted by Circular Economy Club
This event will be held in concurrence with the global Circular Economy Mapping Week coordinated by Circular Economy Club, a series of global, decentralized events, aimed at mapping Circular Economy initiatives from around the world, to be made available in a central open-access database.
